Inspection 2.0 by the Flemish Education Inspectorate

The Flemish Education Inspectorate oversees the quality of education in Flanders. It monitors compliance with curriculum objectives, development goals, curriculum plans, as well as funding and subsidy conditions. Each school year, it inspects a number of accredited schools and centers in Flanders, as well as Flemish schools and centers in the Brussels Capital Region.

Inspectie 2.0 represents a modernized approach to inspecting schools and other educational institutions in Flanders. This system was introduced to update and enhance the educational quality assurance system, making it more effective.

This new approach also supports the Flemish education system in providing high-quality education to ensure that all students receive the best possible learning experience. It strikes a balance between oversight and support, emphasizing collaboration and continuous improvement.

Inspection 2.0 focuses on targeted and risk-based inspections, with schools facing potential risks receiving more intensive scrutiny. The approach promotes collaboration and support, employing clear reporting and data utilization to gain a comprehensive understanding of school quality. Periodic inspections and self-evaluations by schools contribute to ongoing quality enhancement.

To make all this understandable and manageable for schools, Flan Caramel has developed an engaging explainer video.
